Back in August, I started a new project with a bunch of other photographers called the 10 on 10 project. The goal is to take 10 photos, about one every hour, in one day, to document a day in your life. It’s so important to create memories for your own family. I mean, isn’t that how most photographers start out? Wanting to document a story? Here’s ours…
Heading downstairs for breakfast.

Drawing on her IKEA easel.

Story time at the library. Aren’t these boots adorable? Gotta love Old Navy.

We hit up Target at least once a week. This week’s trip included a little treat. Have you seen these???? I was super excited but they’re just okay. I prefer mint. They need to start making mint M&Ms year round!

Lunch time. This is what happens when you live in Vegas. You don’t get a kids menu with crayons. You get a keno sheet. At least she’ll learn her numbers.

Before naps she insists we “find Elmo!” Then we pop in a video and she’s good to go. We gave up on napping her in her crib because she’d wake up screaming after 15 minutes and never go back to sleep. Now that we put her in the pack n play with a video she’ll nap up to 3 hours! Miracles do happen.

Playing with daddy before dinner.

Grapes for dessert. No, they are not olives. I swear.

The little princess in her Disney Princess bath towel. I love that thing. But daddy thinks she looks more like Jafar.

And a little “me time” before bed.

Disclaimer: This project is HARD now that the days are so short! But thanks for looking! Now head on over to San Francisco Bay Area Photographer Jayme Franklin‘s blog and check out her 10 on 10.

Christine, I SOOOO enjoyed your post this time!! Especially your captions to go along with them! I found myself snickering several times! I don’t even know what a Keno sheet is!!! Old Navy is my FAVORITE for kids clothes. I did not know there were such things as mint m&ms…. I cannot wait to try them. My kids stopped napping very, very early, too, so I commiserate with that, but yay for finding a cool solution and I love that image. those grapes DO look just like olives. And I LOVE my kindle, too!
Great job! I love her little bath towel. She is the cutest! And I love the kindle too!
Love all the pictures…and the angles and lighting are great. Really enjoyed looking at this months pics. Can’t wait to see your work next month.
Awesome photo’s of your day with your baby girl.. so precious!
I have to say, before I read the caption about her drawing on the Ikea board..
Love the boots too..
I was immediately thinking about cleaners that might get the markings off the wall.
I love all of your perspectives…ESP her purple boots shot. Precious!!! And so glad you found a way to get her to nap!!!!
Thank you guys for all your kind comments! This was the hardest for me…I started several times before finally finishing a day. I’m really working on trying out new angles and stuff so I’m glad they turned out pretty well.
I really enjoyed your pictures this month too, Christine, even though I am waaaay late on commenting. Love all the different perspectives and especially the lighting on the naptime shot. Great job! Looking forward to next month…
WOW!!! I love these pictures girly! You are so freaking talented…
