Discovery | Project 52: Week 5 | Honolulu Photographer

Sunday, January 29th, 2012

Being a toddler is all about discovery because everything is new.  Every day she’s discovering new words, how things work, how the world works.  And I love watching every minute of it.

Head on over to Cullman, AL Photographer Rachel McPhillips’s brand spankin’ new blog and check out her take on “discovery”.

Cold | Project 52: Week 4 | Honolulu Photographer

Sunday, January 22nd, 2012

For this week’s theme, I decided we needed to go get a cold treat – shave ice!  My first job ever, at the ripe old age of 14, was at a shave ice stand called Island Snow.  I worked there with my BFF making shave ice, and selling t-shirts and stickers with the Island Snow logo.  The place was tiny.  Just big enough to fit 2-3 people behind the counter with little room to move around.  I think we made $4.75 an hour.  (Yikes, does that tell you how old I am?  :P )   But as long as we had our little radio we were happy.  We made so many great memories.  And we still think we had the best shave ice there ever was.

Thanks for stopping by.  Now head on over to Cullman, AL photographer Rachel McPhillips‘s blog to see her take on this week’s theme.

Monochromatic | Project 52: Week 3 | Honolulu Photographer

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

This week’s theme for our Project 52 is “monochromatic”.  I decided to introduce you to the cutest, sweetest little dog in all the land because, well, she seems to blend into the carpet and I thought it fit the theme.  :P

Go ahead and make the rounds by stopping by Cullman, AL photographer Rachel McPhillips‘s blog to see her version of “monochromatic”.
