This week’s theme is related and, well, this gorgeous girl and I are related!  You wouldn’t know it now, but when she was younger she looked A LOT like me.  In fact, people would see pictures of us and ask if she was my daughter!  I posted a few from her senior session a while back and decided to post a couple more to use for this week because, to be honest, I’m having a bit of photographer’s block right now.  Life has been a bit hectic lately with unexpected travel, a death in the family, another new job, and selling a house, not to mention a toddler in the throws of the terrible 2s!  I’ve hardly touched my camera the last few weeks.  Whenever I have a moment to breathe, I just want to sit and veg out!  I just need a swift kick in the rear, friends!

Anyways, thanks for stopping by!  Please make the rounds and head on over to Las Vegas Photographer Tara Romasanta’s blog to see her take on this week’s theme.

Pink | Project 52: Week 7 | Honolulu Photographer

Sunday, February 12th, 2012

Pink.  My favorite color.  I’m a girly girl through and through.  I’m so glad to have a daughter who is as girly as I am.  I cherish the moments that she lets me paint her toes and dress her in poofy skirts.  And I love how she proudly states, “Baby has pink toes!”

She turned 2 yesterday, friends.  I can’t believe it.  2 years already???  Where has the time gone?  It scares me how quickly she is growing up but I’m so proud of the wonderful little girl she has already become.

Head over to Cullman, AL Photographer Rachel McPhillips’s blog to check out her post next.

Grounded | Project 52: Week 6 | Honolulu Photographer

Sunday, February 5th, 2012

Sometimes to remain grounded, we need to revisit our past and remember where we came from.  These images are from the driveway of my Grandma’s house.  I love seeing my cousin’s names, which have been there since before I was born.  They are such a reminder of the great memories we had here as kids.

This week I’m linking up with Las Vegas Photographer Tara Romasanta.  Check out her blog and see her interpretation of this week’s theme.
